TRAINING VIDEO: Simplify Your Installs with the APsystems Combiner Box

Check out the new APsystems Combiner Box video and see how this all-in-one solution is designed to make installs faster, cleaner, and easier to manage in the field.

Built specifically for APsystems microinverter systems, the Single-Phase AC Combiner Box combines AC connections, integrated ECU-R communication, revenue-grade monitoring, CTs, and power distribution into one compact, weather-resistant enclosure.

The video walks through installer-friendly features like pre-wired components, pre-landed terminals, expandable breaker support, removable communication hardware, and included accessories that help simplify commissioning and reduce install time.

“Everything’s pre-wired. The only thing you’re adding is your solar strings and your grid-side power.”

From cleaner wiring layouts to built-in production and consumption monitoring, the APsystems Combiner Box helps streamline installs while delivering accurate system visibility from day one.

Building Stronger Installer Connections Across Canada

From East to West, coast to coast, APsystems hit the road to connect with installers across Canada — from PEI all the way to Victoria, BC! Along the way, we visited installer offices and active job sites, provided hands-on technical support, and heard valuable firsthand feedback about our products.

We also showcased our QS2 microinverter and AC Combiner Box and gave everyone a closer look at exciting new products coming down the pipeline. A big thank you to all the distributors and installers who welcomed us throughout the trip. We’re excited to keep building those relationships and continue growing across Canada together.

DS3 Trunk: Getting your DS3 install right starts with the details

From removing the protective cap on the trunk line to ensuring solid end cap connections, every step matters for performance and reliability in the field.

Quick reminders:

  • Always remove the protective cap before plugging in your microinverter
  • Avoid bending or kinking trunk lines and DC whips during layout
  • Make sure end caps are fully seated and secure
  • Plan proper connection points for clean wire management

The DS3 system is built for efficiency, with a 3-wire trunk line and improved whips to help create smoother, more flexible installs.

DS3 Microinverter Installation Training in Action ⚡ Faster Installs, Fewer Headaches

In this quick install walkthrough, we break down how to set up your trunk line, mount the micro, and make clean, solid connections—no guesswork.

You’ll see:

  • How to prep and cap your trunk cable
  • Mounting and torque tips that actually matter
  • Clean wire management (because nobody likes a messy roof)
  • Dual-channel connections done right

Less time on the roof. Less callbacks later. That’s the DS3 difference.

On the Road with Charge Solar: APstorage Trainings Across Canada

APsystems teamed up with Charge Solar this month for a series of hands-on solar + storage trainings across Canada, with stops in Calgary and Victoria. Hosted right in their warehouse locations, these sessions gave installers a close-up look at real system components and applications in a practical setting.

Across both events, we showcased and discussed the APstorage solution, including the ELS, Combiner Box, and QS2, while also hosting post-training mixers that created a great space for conversation and connection. The sessions brought strong engagement, with plenty of thoughtful technical questions and real-world discussions around system design, installation, and performance.

A Strong Finish: Connecting with Partners Across Canada

We wrapped up the year with a full slate of events across Canada. In November, we joined Charge Solar in Barrie, Ontario, for a hands-on training session on our ELS-11.4k energy storage system, connecting with installers from across the province.

Early December kicked off with Charge Solar training in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Solar Summit. On day one, we joined the Charge Solar team and installers for a product session focused on the ELS-11.4K, AC Combiner Box, and QS2. On day two, at the ACSS trade show, we set up a booth with swag and had a great time connecting with East Coast installers and catching up with our distributor partners.

We closed out the year in Banff at the BayWa r.e. Roadshow, where we hosted a hands-on training showcasing the pairing of the ELS-11.4k with the Soluna battery. Thank you to BayWa r.e. for hosting a great event.
